Synopsis: It's showtime at the House of Donna D'Affari, a Brooklyn-based drag house, but 26 transgender people have been murdered this year alone, tensions rise as the father of Tanisha, a transgender queen in training, violently dismisses her identity, and Brandhi, whose brother was killed by police violence, is unable to see the value in her own story.
Meanwhile, Gigi a transgender veteran of the war in Afghanistan (played in its developmental residency by a real-life transgender veteran), struggles for acceptance in an America unable to grasp the way it treats its black and transgender people.
